The two-bedroom house is located in the Sub-Carpathians High Hills of Romania. The house has been designed to accommodate a young professional family and their new-born baby. Being concerned about the environment, the family requested that the house should be built with eco-friendly materials and be as energy efficient as possible. As a result, the house has been designed to be modular and to use structural insulated panels (SIPS) which are a key-component of eco-buildings and are recognized as being one of the most sustainable and energy efficient contemporary construction components. The high-efficient thermal conductivity of the SIPS panes makes them ideal for the construction of low-energy buildings and Passivhaus constructions.
